Two-Dimensional Semiconducting Nanosheets: Preparation, Characterization, Properties and Applications

In this talk, I will summarize the research on synthesis, characterization and applications of 2D semiconducting nanosheets, which my group has done recently. I will introduce the synthesis and characterization of novel 2D semiconducting materials, such as graphene, MoS2, WS2, TiS2,TaS2, etc., especially the first-time synthesized hexagonal close packed (hcp) Au nanostructures on graphene oxide, and patterned graphene structures. Then I will demonstrate the applications of graphene-based materials in chemical and bio-sensors, solar cells, electric devices, memory devices, conductive electrodes, cell cultures, matrix of MALDI-TOF-MS, supercapacitors etc.
